PSA Oxygen Plant (Industrial and Medical)
PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) Technology, a breakthrough in non-cryogenic air separation and oxygen generation, using a unique ZMS grade (Zeolite Molecular Sieve). The pressurised air is delivered by a Twin Tower PSA module with automated changeover valves. The air is dried after passing through a Refrigerated Dryer. A bed of Zeolite molecular sieves will now be in touch with dried compressed air (ZMS). Zeolite Molecular Sieves are a specific type of adsorbent that has the ability to adsorb nitrogen molecules preferentially. One tower stays in the nitrogen production cycle at any given moment, while the other undergoes regeneration, which is accomplished by depressurizing the tower to atmospheric pressure. With the aid of a Backpressure Regulator, the departing oxygen gas is directed to a surge vessel where the minimum pressure is maintained.
